Dual Fuel Conversions
Dual fuel conversion is a very effective tool how to significantly reduce especially fuel costs with a relatively small investment.
The main principle of conversion is reduction of injecting dose of diesel up to 10% value of original diesel consumption. This amount is called "ignition dose" and missing chemical energy is then provided by mixture of air and gas fuel.
Properly designed method of conversion for existing engine and used fuel then brings the following effects:
- significant decrease of fuel costs
- minimal modification of original engine design
- unreduced original engine output
- high stability of engine operation
- lower emissions of pollutants in exhaust gases
- improvement of technical value of genset
- possibility of emergency return to diesel operation
Slow speed engines conversion (multipoint fuel fumigation):
- gas fuel dosed into inlet channel by individual solenoid valve during the suction stroke
- original speed governor replaced by actuator to provide a constant ignition portion
- original speed governing shifted to gas fuel
- suitable for slow speed engines with s big overlap of valves
High speed engines conversion (central mixer):
- external continuous mixture formation
- original speed governing stays in function
- suitable for high speed engines with s small overlap of valves
